The new Hitchin Sunday League season kicked off with a three division format once more.

In Division One Coach & Horses started the defence of their title with a comfortable 5-1 victory at home to AC Malone, the consolation goal coming from Kane Stanton.

FC Inter Malone and Pied Piper were evenly matched for the first half but two goals after the break gave Piper a 2-0 success.

Division Two champions last time out, North Baldock got off to a bad start, losing 7-0 to a rampant Squirrel Taverners.

In Division Two, Ashwell were at home to Sandon but lost 3-1.

Hitchin Rovers were at home to St Ippolyts and it was the away side who won again, 3-2 this time, but it was a home win for Troll Campbell, 5-2 against Arlesey Town.

In Division Three, new team Cronies were at home against Saint Evenage and lost 5-1.

It was another bad opener for fellow new boys Niche who lost 5-3 against Feed Up Warm Up.

FUWU went in front through Connor Khan before Niche got two of their own.

The lead had changed again by half-time though courtesy of a penalty from Joe O'Dell and a second for Khan.

The sides were level again soon into the second half kick but goals from Dylan and TJ eventually won it for Feed Up Warm Up.

Kimpton started their campaign with a 5-1 defeat to Khoi Khoi.

Four first-half goals were followed a fifth before Kimpton pulled one back.

Rezza Rob had already hit the crossbar but Alex Jode guided a superb header under the bar.

The final game of the day saw North Herts Hatters win 1-0 at home to Lea Sports PSG.
