It was a warm weekend for Stevenage Striders in St Albans, but Adam Hough finished in a brilliant eighth place in the 5k in 20.59.

Rebecca Burkoff ran her first half marathon in 2:43.31, as Paula Heyes and Hannah Manton crossed the line together in 2:55.58.

Helder Soares ran a 5.30 mile in Loures, Portugal and finished first in his V55 age category.

And several members took part in the Endure24 event in Reading, aiming to complete as many five-mile laps in 24 hours, running through the night if brave enough!

A Pride of Striders team included Peter Monk, Kirsten Jarvis, Peter Bampton-Clare and Sarah Allen, who completed 21 laps in 22:48.18, while M&Ms Martin Watson and Martin Scales managed 18 laps in 23:57.04.

Knight Striders' Aaron Casper, Ben Ward, Matt Robinson, Danny Alden and Peter Smalley ran 26 laps in 23:56.54, as Chafing the Dream's Abdullah Athar and Matt Rayner completed 14 laps in 23:56.07.

Stumbling Striders Chrissie Thomas, Ian and Dorota McClements, Marc Hagland and Lily Robinson did 19 laps in 22:31.01, as Two Awesome Cuzners Glenn and Stuart Cuzner finished 14 laps in 20:43.35.

Striders Backups Joe Bateman and Robert Smith managed 17 laps in 23:57.04 and the club also saw 50 members in action at the Midweek League 10k in Harpenden, with Joe Bateman (37.51) and Lucy Crocker (48.31) the first Striders across the finish line.
