Hitchin Town's fine end of season form continued with a win on the road at Alvechurch.

Goals from Jack Snelus, Diogo Freitas-Gouveia and Finley Wilkinson gave them a 3-0 lead before a last-minute penalty from the hosts broke the clean sheet.

It was their third win in the last four games and has lifted them to 12th in the Southern League Premier Division Central table with two games to play, the last of them on Saturday at home to Ilkeston Town.

Stotfold take a five-point cushion into their final three games of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division season, knowing that just five points is enough to guarantee a promotion play-off spot.

They didn't play on Saturday as their game with Cockfosters was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, but rivals Risborough Rangers did, crushing relegation threatened Colney Heath 11-2 and giving themselves a better goal difference than the Eagles in the process.

Stotfold now play Fosters on Tuesday before home games against champions Leighton Town on Thursday and Dunstable Town on Saturday.

Rangers also play Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Colney Heath's defeat, coupled with a 3-1 loss for Hoddesdon Town at home to Ardley United, means Arlesey Town's 2-2 draw at Biggleswade United has all but made their position in the division safe for another season.

They also have a five-point buffer down to Hoddesdon in the second of the two relegation places with two games to go, the last of them being against their rivals on Saturday.

Kendall Gymafi and Tom Millett equalised twice in a nine-minute spell at Biggleswade, all after Taylor Rhiney was dismissed for violent conduct.

Baldock Town meanwhile lost 2-0 at home to Potton United, the first of the visitors' goals coming in the 90th minute.

In Division One, Letchworth Eagles lost 4-2 at Moulton, Kain Brown and Ollie Trott on target, while Codicote drew 1-1 at Sarratt in Division Two, Liam Hayden their scorer.
