Hitchin Town will play Luton Town U21s in a friendly - with a special book for Hatters fans being signed by three of the club's most loved players.

Mick Harford, Wayne Turner and Alan West will all be at Top Field on Monday to put their signatures on new book 'They played for David Pleat at Luton Town'.

Written by Phil Duffy, the book is part one of a two-part series, taking readers and fans back to an era when football was still very much "at the heart of working-class culture".

This volume's 420 pages chronicle memories and stories from the men within the dressing room and corridors of Kenilworth Road, all at a time when Pleat was leading a rise up the divisions.

The match kicks off a 7pm with prices set at £6 for adults, £4 for concessions, £2 for teenagers and £1 for children.

Hitchin season ticket holders can gain free admission by logging into their account first.

The game will also prove of huge benefit for Mark Burke's men who have a blank weekend in the Southern League.

Their next Premier Division Central game is on Saturday, March 18, when they go to Hednesford Town.

They are back at Top Field on March 25 against Stratford Town.
