Double headers dominate the latest round of fixtures in the Hitchin Sunday League as clubs played catch-up after the cold weather.

In Division One AC Malone faced Engineers Arms twice with Malone winning both.

The first game saw Engineers take a deserved 1-0 lead into the interval following a flick-on from a long throw.

But Malone came out in in the second half to take the points, Daril Ngwala equalising against his former club before Vinay Virdee bagged the winner in a 2-1 success.

The second game was more comfortable with Malone wining 2-0, thanks to goals from Callum Rodgers and Ngwala.

FC Emperors Head and St Ippolyts picked up three points each from their double. The first game finished 3-1 to Emperors Head but Ipps won 2-1 in the second.

Chells won both the games against Arlesey Town, 2-1 in the first but 5-0 in the second, while Sandon got four points off Buffs, a 2-0 win and a 0-0 draw.

Top of the table Coach & Horses were at home against Fairfield Park and the sides produced an eight-goal thriller, drawing 4-4.

Adam Illingworth put Fairfield 1-0 up but the leaders were ahead by the break.

Adam Morris levelled for Park in the second half, nicking in at the near post to turn in a Sam Day corner, but again the Coach response was to score twice.

But Morris was not done, pulling one back with a 25-yard screamer and then converting a penalty after Josh Mollison had been fouled to leave the game tied.

Atletico 99 had a good 4-2 win against The Cock.

GSS and Division Two leaders FC Inter Malone picked up a point each following a 2-2 draw.

Peter Gurney and Joe Searle scored for GSS in between the two Inter goals, the last coming in the dying moments of the contest.

Lea Sports PSG scored two without reply at home against Feed Up Warm Up while a bottom of the table clash between Kimpton and Khoi Khoi ended in a 5-1 win for the latter.

Hitchin Rovers' quest for the title took a knock with a 3-1 loss at home to Troll Campbell while Saint Evenage won 3-2 against North Herts Hatters.

There were two double headers in this division too.

Almond Tree and FC Kings shared the points with Kings winning the first game 3-1 with Almond Tree on top in the second by 2-1.

Squirrel Taverners and Stotfold Juniors played in the other with Taverners winning 2-1 in the opening contest ahead of a 3-3 draw in the second.
