The Hitchin Sunday League continued its season with almost a full list of league fixtures.

St Ippolyts faced Ashwell in a double header and the honours were split, Ashwell winning the first game 2-1 and St Ipployts the second by the same score.

Arlesey Town won 3-1 at home against FC St Johns and this proved to be their last game as they withdrew from the league shortly after the game finished.

The Cock lost 3-0 against Chells Rovers while Atletico 99 lost a very competitive game 1-0 at home to FC Emperors Head.

AC Malone won their away game against Buffs by a 4-1 score-line.

A lovely lofted through ball from Phil Payne set Ben Fairey away for AC Malone’s first and Kane Stanton then marked his return from a couple months off by grabbing a quick-fire double.

A sloppy back pass allowed Buffs to pull one back with five minutes to go but AC responded immediately with Calvin Virdee picking out Stanton who controlled brilliantly and smashed into the top corner to get his hat-trick.

Fairfield Park claimed a 2-0 win against Sandon.

They got off to a great start, Tristan Potkins fouled in the box after a mazy run and Alfie Murray converting the penalty, but Sandon were soon given a spot-kick of their own.

However, Josh Mollison saved that and then pulled off a series of spectacular stops to keep Fairfield ahead.

Danny Pye then got the second to give Fairfield the three points.

In Division Two, GSS beat Almond Tree 4-2 with goals from Kieran Klimek, Peter Gurney, Paul Morris and Marcus Dolby.

Five second-half goals for FC Inter Malone were enough to see off Kimpton as they won 6-2.

Hitchin Rovers missed the opportunity to claim top spot after falling to a 2-0 defeat against Lea Sports PSG while Khoi Khoi lost 3-0 at home against FC Kings.

Stotfold Juniors stay in the race for the title with a 3-1 win against Feed Up Warm Up.

North Baldock suffered a 3-1 loss to Troll Campbell, losing the top spot to Inter Malone.

The final game of the day saw Squirrel Taverners and North Herts Hatters pick up a point each following their 1-1 draw.

Engineers Arms meanwhile made it to the semi-finals of the Beds Sunday Junior Cup with a 1-0 win over Bromham United, Zippy Follano getting the only goal.
