All the scheduled games for Hitchin Sunday League managed to beat the wet weather and there were some great results among them.

Chief was passage for Engineers Arm in the Beds Sunday Junior Cup.

They were held 2-2 after normal time at Cranfield United but came through 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out.

In Division One of the league itself, there was a 3-2 win for The Cock over Ashwell while FC Emperors Head won by the odd goal in five at home to Fairfield Park.

Arlesey Town secured a wonderful come-from-behind success against Buffs.

They trailed 3-1 with 15 minutes to go but four late goals gave them a 5-3 victory.

Sandon lost 5-1 at home to Coach & Horses while FC St Johns moved up to third with a 6-1 win over St Ippolyts.

A double header between Atletico 99 and AC Malone saw one win each.

Malone won 1-0 in the first game, Will Payne scoring from a Riley Saward pass, but Atletico took the honours in game two, winning 2-1.

Payne had crossed for Daril Ngwala to score his first goal for Malone and put them in front but Atletico came back in the last 10 minutes with two.

GSS had a comfortable 8-0 win at home against Khoi Khoi in Division Two. Marcus Dolby bagged a hat-trick, Harison Ahern-Farebrother got two with Jamie Burbury, Jamie Woods and an own goal finishing off the victory.

It was third against second as North Baldock faced FC Inter Malone and a 3-1 win for Baldock moves them two points behind Malone but with two games in hand.

Hitchin Rovers stayed top with a six-point cushion after a 4-1 win over North Herts Hatters.

Saint Evenage beat Feed Up Warm Up 3-1 and Stotfold Juniors enjoyed a 4-3 success over FC Kings.

Squirrel Taverners overcame a nightmare start in their game against Kimpton to cruise to a 5-1 success.

Kimpton had taken the lead in the first half but Kyle Young's introduction from the bench made a difference for Squirrel.

He equalised from a Dan Bond pass before Dennison Crook made it 2-1.

Bond then converted himself after being set-up by Luke Smith and it was the latter who wrapped it up with a brace, Bond and Kieran O'Brien getting the assists.

The final game of the day saw Troll Campbell lose 3-2 at home to Almond Tree, despite coming back from being 2-0 down.
