Stevenage are making another change of chief operating officer after Chris Ross announced his intention to leave the League Two club.

The Scot is returning home at the end of the month after a change to his family's personal circumstances meant he was unable to continue in his role.

Boro have been aware "this might happen for a while" and so have already concluded the search for a successor.

They will arrive at the start of February with an announcement expected shortly.

Chairman Phil Wallace said: "Chris has worked really hard and become a key part of our management team in his short stay with us but family always comes first and we completely understand his need to return to Scotland.

"We will be keeping in close contact and helping each other wherever we can."
