Blueharts Ladies 3rds have been crowned Five Counties Division Two champions after a convincing 5-0 win at home against St Albans Bodiceas.

It is a fourth consecutive promotion for the team in a season during which they have scored 100 goals.

In this match Blueharts dominated the game from the beginning and despite being marked out of the game Amanda Donnachie was able to convert two powerful goals.

The visitors won a number of short corners but were quashed by the Blues defence.

Sarah Baxter scored two accurate goals with Olivia Marsh sealing the deal with the fifth and final goal allowing the 3rds to celebrate their promotion and impressive undefeated record since Nov 2014.

Elsewhere for the club the ladies’ 1sts travelled to Cambridge City looking for points to help them avoid the drop.

Even though they gave a strong performance they lost 1-0. A sneaky Cambridge goal in the first half gave them the lead, and Blueharts worked hard to find the equaliser but to no avail.

Caz Kumar and her defensive backline had a great game, picking balls off the Cambridge City strikers, and Ellen Robertson made some brave and decisive saves. Jo Floor showed her strength forcing errors from the opposition while both Kate Chappell and Jay Livermore out-paced the opposition; however City read Blueharts’ game well and built a fortress round their goal.

The final battle is against top of the league Wisbech at home this Saturday. A win is the only way to remain in East League Division 1N.

The recently-promoted 2nds were back to their winning ways with an 8-1 victory against Aylesbury at home.

Niamh Krishman delivered a square ball to Molly Kerr-Barr for her first goal of the game. The Blues proved to be the stronger team with Lizzie Bayley and Rosie Ross earning two goals each after using their skills to bypass defenders and keeper. Kerr-Barr went on to score her hat-trick giving them a 7-0 lead at half-time.

The visitors scored their only goal in the second half with Bayley on target again for a hat-trick.

The 4ths won 5-0 against Saffron Walden. The junior players had a great game with the first goal converted by Gina Joseph after a blistering run and cross by Ana Wallace.

Joseph went on to score a hat-trick with Wallace twice on target.

Blueharts 1sts, already relegated, faced Bedford at home.

Despite putting up a good fight they lost 6-1 with a consolation goal from Chris Davies.

The 2nds are all but guaranteed promotion with a convincing 9-2 win over already relegated Harpenden.

Blueharts meant business and took the lead within the first minute with Graham Burr intercepting a pass and scuffing a shot into the bottom corner.

The opposition had chances to equalise but the Blues defence stood firm and they finally got the second goal 20 minutes in with Robert Donald firing in from a tight angle.

Goals then came in quick succession with another from Donald before Graham Burr found Richard Middleditch to make it four with Burr then getting his second for 5-0.

Donald scored again then set up a breakaway finding Middleditch who was on target to make it 7-0.

Donald went on to score his fourth with a well-timed run.

Lapses in concentration allowed Harpenden to score twice but a final goal from Burr secured the 9-2 win.

Blueharts are now three points clear of third-place Wapping in East League Division 2S, with a superior goal difference of 19, so they aim to seal promotion when they play Bedford at home this weekend from midday.

The 3rds are still in the running for promotion after a 2-1 win at home against Harpenden.

Goals from Harri Connelly and Austin Ephgrave put them in the lead.

Now lying third in East League Division 4SW and three points below St Albans they face Hertford away this weekend.

If they win and St Albans lose Blueharts will gain promotion.

The 4ths had a commanding performance with a 6-1 win against Stevenage.

Although their opponents went 1-0 up early in the first half, goals from Ashley Hammond and Keith Noble put the 4ths 2-1 up by half-time.

Dan Smith scored a brace, followed by a penalty flick converted by Paul Graves.

The icing on the cake was a goal from Richard Cherry right at the end of the game.

The 6ths beat Bishop’s Stortford at home 4-1. Dan Brooks scored the first goal with Jay Pandit doubling the tally by slotting in a loose ball in the D.

Joe Williams then scored when Neil Donald cleverly drew the keeper allowing Williams to push the ball into an empty net. Donald went on to make it 4-1 at the end of the game.
