There are plenty of opportunities for young and old this summer at Preston Cricket Club.

The village side will be running four senior teams again on Saturdays, all four playing in the Herts Cricket League, with the first team looking forward to their first full season in the Championship division, the second tier of the league.

There is also two sides playing on Sunday, the first-team in the Sunday Bedfordshire leagues while the second string offers friendly cricket.

The junior club too will be fielding an U17 and U14 side as well as offering ECB Dynamos Cricket for boys and girls aged between eight and 11.

There is a free taster session on May 2 while the Dynamo events run every Sunday from May 9 to July 11. Pre-registration is required. Go to the Dynamos part of the ECB website for more information.

The club also have high hopes of hosting their annual cricket week and sixes day in August.
