A STEVENAGE teenager is making his international debut at roller hockey this summer.
Matt White of Epsom Close is representing England schoolboys (under-17s) at the European roller hockey championships in Portugal in July.
The 16-year-old goes to Marriotts School and started his roller hockey career playing for Stevenage when he was eight.
Three years ago he switched clubs and started to play for Bury St Edmunds. They are the most successful roller hockey club in England and have the current national men's captain in their squad.
Matt's trip to Portugal is being privately funded. Anyone interested in offering sponsorship should call Alan White on 01438 725602 or 07739 862165.
