THERE was a VIP for the launch of the new performance programme at Letchworth Tennis Club.
David Felgate, Tim Henman's former coach and now the LTA director of performance, visited the Muddy Lane club on Friday afternoon.
Felgate was given a tour of the facilities by Letchworth's head of performance Steve Shea and centre manager Abbie Lench.
The start-up phase of the performance programme and future plans for the club were also discussed before Felgate witnessed mini and junior tennis players being coached.
A question and answer session with Felgate ended the day.
Abbie Lench said: "The afternoon was very well received and all those who took part thoroughly enjoyed it."
