KCINSATOP made Hitchin Sunday League history at Potton last weekend as they became the first side from the league to win in the Carlsberg Sunday Cup when they beat Moggerhanger Sunday 4-1

In front of a crowd approaching 100, Kcinsatop raced into a 3-0 lead with goals from Luke Donnelly and Brett Donnelly (two). Moggerhanger temporarily reduced the deficit before Rob Beckwith sealed victory.

Red Star ICL were left counting their blessings and Bar Absolute cursing their bad luck as a Shaun Turner double got Red Star out of jail as they snuck a 2-1 victory.

Cannon were 1-0 winners against Whitwell, the goal coming courtesy of Rhys Davies.

The two bottom teams will have to wait another week to get their first points of the season after they both suffered defeats. AC Malone travelled to Henlow to take on the Engineers, and a first half goal from Jim Gentry and a goal from Leighton Machin five minutes from the end secured a 2-0 win for the villagers.

Stotfold Sunday suffered a real thumping at home to The George, Ricky Day (three), Glen Stuart, Roberto David, Paul Berry, James Fletcher, Darrin Buttergieg and Marvin Brooks all scoring for the George.

Only one game took place in Division one and SMU took the spoils after a 2-1 win at home to Oceans Eleven, Adam Sayer and Joe Goude scoring the goals.

In Division Two, Five Bells fell to a 5-0 defeat at home to North Herts Hatters, Neil Walker (two), Dean Wilkinson, Carl Beddard and Stewart Smith all on target. Wilbury and Wanderers Reserves shared the points after a 1-1 draw at the Grange.

In Herts Junior Cup action, nine sides went in with hopes of reaching round three and five survived. Dynamo Letchworth were eliminated after a 4-0 defeat against Blackberry Jack whilst a Keith Jones goal was all Paynes Park had to show for their efforts in the all Hitchin Sunday League tie as they fell 3-1 to AC Malone Reserves.

George and Dragon were 2-0 winners at home to MBDA whilst Broadmead trounced Bourne Leisure 7-1, Steven Young (three), Victor Gonzalex (two), Chris Tembey and an og completing the rout.

Baldock Sunday were on the receiving end of a 7-1 drubbing at the hands of London Colney and SMU Reserves were beaten 4-3 by Evergreen, Rob Herd, Sean Huse and Ashley Clemence on the mark for SMU.

The Park needed extra time to overcome Wellington, eventually winning 3-2 and there was also extra time for Radcliffe as Craig Adams and then matchwinner Alex Thompson scored as they beat Athletico Timebridge 2-1.
