FIVE members of Richard's Trampoline Club attended the national grade two competition in Reading.

The aim was to either qualify for grade one or for the grade two national championships in November.

Kasey Kilday started the day off with a nervous performance in his first experience at national level.

He got through both routines, and hopes to improve for the next grade two competition.

Nicky Ledwold was hoping to qualify for the nationals but a small error at the end of his set routine meant he failed. He did an excellent voluntary routine and finished just outside the top 10 in 11th place.

Lee Meakin had little preparation for the event but managed to get through all his routines successfully.

He got through to the finals and finished in a respectable eighth.

Charlie Mussino was hoping to qualify for grade one.

Some travel on his third somersault left him struggling to control his full twisting, straight back somersault and he touched the side pad. He produced an excellent voluntary routine and he finished second within his group.

Lisa Withey was also hoping to qualify for grade one. She performed two excellent routines and easily got the required marks. Withey was third within her group and had the highest form marks overall.
