Matt Gould from Stevenage Judo Club won gold at the Clacton Open International at the weekend.
The competition was attended by players from countries such as France, the Netherlands, Brazil, Wales and Scotland.
Matt (15 years old) had four fantastic fights in the under-73kgs section and won gold in the final.
The event was attended by more than 300 competitors.
Matt has been training hard for this contest, attending three judo sessions a week on top of his strict fitness training regime.
