Arlesey Town made it two points from two games by sharing the spoils at home to Bury Town on Tuesday night.

Frantic early play saw little in the way of controlled football.

A goalmouth scramble in the Bury six-yard box was cleared to safety in the first real chance for either side.

Then a quick Bury break saw man of the match Steve Dogbe sprint across and clear the ball for a corner.

After half an hour Arlesey put a passing move together that finished with Paul Bloss just failing to connect at the far post.

Michael McKenzie's curling shot was well gathered by keeper Barber before Ozie Foster cut in from the right and drove a shot across goal.

Just when Arlesey were getting into their stride, Bury took the lead. A deep cross from the right was headed in by Stephen Bugg who was completely unmarked.

Hopes of an equaliser before the break were dashed when Foster's flick to the overlapping Kaan Fehmi gave the number two time to strike a terrific shot that was well beaten away by Barber.

Almost constant pressure from the restart saw the Blues equalise on 48 minutes, Fehmi having the presence of mind to steady himself before shooting across the keeper into the far corner with a vicious drive.

Bury were immediately all over the Arlesey penalty area like a rash. First Bugg clipped the crossbar from point blank range and then Jack Rashid pushed a shot wide for a corner with a great save. Rashid had to be on his toes to save again moments later.

A string of Bury corners put Arlesey under considerable pressure during the half, although when Arlesey broke clear a header at the far post went just over the bar.

Arlesey came under increasing pressure as the match ended.

There were some good individual performances from Bloss, Dogbe and second-half substitute James Dillnutt who was back after injury.

Blues: Rashid, Fehmi, Bloss, Stanley (Dillnutt), Dogbe, George, Tekell, Gray, Foster (Johnson), McKenzie, Rydeheard.
