Eight young students from the English Shotokan Karate Association recently passed their black belt grading.
The students have been training for more than six years which culminated in a recent four-hour grading under the ESKA chief instructor Mike Nursey seventh Dan.
The students trained hard for this prestigious award at a variety of clubs within the area.
This is the first time the association has awarded black belts to so many young students on a single grading day.
