ARLESEY Town enjoyed yet another barren away trip in the Ryman League Division One North.

A 2-1 defeat at Waltham Forest means the Blues have not won home or away since they took the points at Bury Town on Tuesday, March 6.

With Paul Barnes failing to pass a fitness test on an injured foot, Ashley Townsend started the game up front.

A nondescript first half saw the Blues trailing but they equalised after the interval only to concede a last-minute winner.

In the 12th minute, both Lee Tekell and Craig Rydeheard had shots blocked, and the home side almost scored through Smith whose shot was well saved by Jack Rashid.

Arlesey were awarded a free-kick in the 25th minute and Tekell bent his shot round the wall only for keeper Willis to make a fine save.

Three minutes later, the home side took the lead from a corner on the left. Oyebanjo took the kick and his effort appeared to roll in the net following a deflection.

Player-manager Darran Hay replaced Wayne Mills in the 61st minute and from his cross, Tekell delivered a strike on goal that was blocked.

Then Tekell and Hay combined to set up Dean McElroy, who had replaced Kaan Fehmi, but he failed to get in a strike on goal as the ball got stuck under his feet.

Arlesey equalised in the 83rd minute as Tekell again started the move which was carried on by Paul Bloss and Rydeheard.

Paul Charamboulis eventually stroked the ball home from close range.

James Gray was a virtual passenger following an injury but as the visitors had used all their substitutes, he had to remain on.

Gray failed to get in a tackle on Smith but the ball ran wide.

There was heartbreak for Arlesey in the 90th minute as a move down the left and cross into the box ended with Oyebanjo scoring his second and the winner.

Blues: Rashid, Beckett, Bloss, K Fehmi, Dogbe, Gray, Charamboulis, Tekell, Townsend, Mills, Rydeheard. Subs: Hay, Clark, A Fehmi, McElroy, Bliss.

Stotfold appear safe from the drop despite a 1-0 home loss to Holbeach.

Shaun Keeble's goal on four minutes was enough to give the visitors all three points despite constant Stotfold pressure.

Steve Young came off his line to collect a ball and after he collided with Omar Joof and lost the ball, Holbeach player-manager Keeble ran in and lifted the ball over the keeper and into the back of the net.

The remaining 86 minutes followed a familiar recent pattern as there were large amounts of Stotfold possession without the finish.

Callum Donnelly hit two chances over the bar, Tawhid Juneja headed wide from a corner and Joel Mason forced a good low save from Kevin Cross.

The best chance of the half fell to John Vooght whose low shot from the left beat the keeper but bounced back off the bottom of the upright.

And the second half saw more of the same with Mason's good first touch taking him round a defender but shooting straight at the Holbeach keeper.

Louis Lee had his first shot blocked and then put his second chance over the bar.

But the best chances of this half fell to Gordon Guile who was first denied from close range by the feet of the keeper and then, shortly after, had the ball picked off his feet after being put clean through.

Rokermen: Young, Nichol, D Drury, Hull, Juneja, Gregory, Donnelly (Lee), Guile, Mason, Vooght (Hall), Case (Philbin).
