Visitors Tring opened the scoring and held their lead until the break. Tring scored second and third goals after the break although stand-in keeper Susie Powell made some great saves to stop them scoring further.
Blueharts scored a well-deserved goal from Tamzin Alderson and in the last 10 minutes, Kate Chapman got a second for Blueharts but it was not enough.
The high-flying seconds took on their nearest challengers St Neots and won convincingly 4-0. They took the lead through two goals from new player Harriet Marsh. Player of the match Gina Joseph then athletically crossed for Marsh to tap home for her hat-trick. Marsh returned the compliment for Joseph to net a fourth.
Letchworth Ladies were beaten by the odd goal in three by St Albans in a friendly.
