Stotfold have one hand on the UCL Premier Division trophy.

An exemplary all-round performance bagged all three points at main title rivals Blackstones in a 3-0 win.

With the wind behind them in the first half, Stotfold could easily have taken the lead in the first few minutes when Joel Mason's header was cleared off the line by captain Ross Watson.

Trevor Smith's blocked clearance from inside the box fell kindly to Mason who, despite his personal goal drought, squared the ball for an unmarked Paul Garrett to fire the ball past Ian Flavell on eight minutes.

Two minutes later, Dan Cotton beat the offside appeals from Stotfold on the right but his shot was straight at Brad Gillham.

The second goal came on 27 minutes after Garrett's corner was headed down by the unmarked Luke Donnelly.

A minute later, the home team could have pulled one back from a free-kick on the edge of the box, Cotton first hitting the wall and then sticking the rebound well wide.

At the other end, a good ball into the box from Louis Lee was headed into the ground at the far post by Ricky Case, Flavell doing well to stretch and palm the ball over.

The second half saw the home team have more possession but fail to create any significant chances with Liam Harrold scuffing a low shot wide and Andy Boome heading over from a corner.

Any chance of a comeback was snuffed out with Stotfold's third goal when Lee Allinson broke down the right, slipped the ball past the defender and crossed to Garrett to score under the keeper.

This goal deflated the home side and Stotfold should have got another with Tawhid Juneja's header from a free-kick flicked over and Allinson's shot from distance and resulting corner cleared off the line.

Stotfold are at home to Northampton Spencer tomorrow (Tuesday) night, with the FA hearing into their abandoned match against St Neots a day later before they host Long Buckby this Saturday.
