Nirankari all but wrapped up the North and Mid Herts League Premier Division title - without even playing.

They picked up the three points after Clannad Celtic conceded, while their title rivals Probuild suffered defeat in a seven-goal thriller at Whitwell Village.

Whitwell went ahead after Probuild keeper Graham Wraight's kick went straight to Darren Collins who rounded him to slot home.

Ten minutes later, Whitwell made it two after Adam Marvel tapped in at the far post.

It became 3-0 five minutes into the second half after Daniel Gregory was caught napping at the back and Tom Wilshere slotted home.

Minutes later, Probuild started a comeback, Gary Pomfret scoring from close range.

Michael Bunker then latched on to a cross from Jamie Campney to score a second but 10 minutes later, Gregory was caught out of position and Wilshere raced through to make it four and net his second.

Probuild had an immediate lifeline from the kick-off when, with the keeper off his line, Campney passed to Bunker who laid it back to Dave Clemence who scored from 60 yards out.

Probuild and Nirankari will meet in a league game this Saturday before clashing twice in cup finals in the next few weeks.

The first is the Greg Cup showdown at Hitchin Town's Top Field next Thursday (April 17) which kicks-off at 7.30pm.

Wilbury Wanderers reached double figures in a 10-2 romp at depleted New Greens.

They scored in the first minute through Tony Leo and scored further goals through Dean Smith and two more from Leo to complete a first-half hat-trick.

New Greens pulled one back but Wilbury continued to dominate and added further goals through Terry Shafe, Steven Bayliss, Ricky Wilson, and Smith.

Another two for Leo made his tally five for the match before New Greens netted a second consolation.

In Division One North, Kimpton Rovers were 4-1 winners over Fairlands.

Kimpton had the better of the first half and took an early lead into the break from Craig Barnes.

They scored their second from Matt Westwood and Barnes netted his second to make it 3-0.

Fairlands, who had not played for a month, managed a consolation goal from Paul Hicks.

Kimpton wrapped it up with a fourth from James Owen from just inside the Fairlands half, catching the keeper off his line.

St Ippolyts won by the odd goal in five at City Hearts.

Saints pressure finally paid off when Ben Holloway converted a Dan Nash cross to open the scoring.

City Hearts striker Dan Burley ran through to round the keeper and level the scores at half time.

Calvin Crook's cross-shot gave Saints the lead and Holloway headed home another Nash cross from the right for his second of the match.

Nash hit the bar from a free-kick and City Hearts pulled one back from the penalty spot through Ian Worthington.
