Red Star ICL have entered the final stages of the season for the last three years with the destiny of the Premier Division title firmly in their own hands.

And as on the previous two occasions, Red Star proved to be chokers on the big occasion.

This year, few would have bet against them not picking up three points at home to lowly HTS Barleycorn and moving back to the summit with just one round of matches still to be played.

However goals from Chris Powell and Sean Harris meant that HTS earned themselves an excellent point and all but ended Red Star hopes into the process.

AEK Letchworth, like Red Star, could still nick the title after their 2-1 win at home to AC Malone.

Both will very much be reliant on Whitwell who are Kcinsatop's final opponents.

In Division One, Angels Reply won by a single goal at Whitwell Res as their title run-in with Baldock Engine looks like going to the wire.

An own goal and a rare effort from Tom Ayers gave HTS Barleycorn Res all three points at home tot SMU, HTS winning 2-1.

It was a busy day in Division Two as a number of double headers took place.

With Broadmead expelled from the league earlier in the week, the league table has a very different look to it after their results were expunged.

One thing that does remain constant is the form and the place at the top of the table held by Shillington.

Their double header with North Herts Hatters resulted in a further six points being added to the Shills total.

Game one finished 5-0 with goals from Ross Woodbridge, Kieron Dempsey (two), Daniel Bridge and Steve Bull, while the second game ended 3-0 with Ross Woodbridge helping himself to all three of the goals.

Jackmans Jackdaws could still catch Shillington after their 5-1 win at home to AC Malone Res, although the games are fast running out. After falling a goal behind, goals from Matty Driver, Matt Dear, Shane Randall and Lewis Healiss (two) gave Jackmans victory.

Offley Parish's title hopes came off the rails as they dropped a further two points at Ocean's Eleven.

A Darren Lumbis free-kick from 25 yards found the back of the net to earn Ocean's a point. In the reverse fixture, Offley were happier after sneaking a 1-0 win.

At the foot of the table, Dynamo Letchworth moved away from the bottom two after beating Walsworth 4-0 in game one, Liam Garrett hitting a hat-trick and Rob Herb also finding the back of the net.

The second game saw neither team able to break the deadlock and both pick up a point.

Just one game took place in Division Three and it was Clifton Sunday that came out on top against bottom side Paynes Park.

An early goal from Joe Oliver and then Matt Rumbelow who lobbed the keeper from fully 50 yards set them on their way and further strikes from Guiseppi Follano (two) and Chris Coveney moved Clifton into mid table.

Kcinsatop booked themselves a semi-final with PJ Hitchin in the Challenge Cup after a 6-1 victory at The Park in Wymondley.

Jack Gregson led the way with a well-taken treble and 'Champagne' Charlie Ruff added a further two goals to go alongside one from Rob Beckwith.

In the George John Memorial Trophy, Kcinsatop Res will play Operation Swordfish in the final after both sides chalked up 4-0 victories.

The in-form Ross Scotney made it 10 goals in eight games as his double and goals from Mark Whittaker and Dave Everitt proved too much for Chequers Stotfold as Kcinsatop made it through with relative ease.

Whitwell may have fancied their chances but Swordfish proved too strong as Ryan Aldrin (two), Kane Dougherty and Neil Smith booked Callum Donnelly's boys their place in the final to keep up their treble chances.
