Nirankari won their first silverware of the season in snatching the Herts Junior Cup on Good Friday.

The North and Mid Herts League side overcame the wet and windy conditions at the County Ground in Letchworth GC and a deflated Hadley side by snatching an injury-time winner.

Hadley had the better of the play and possession in the first half, Ed Windsor pulling off several good saves.

Their breakthrough came after 31 minutes when Nirankari's Mark Yearwood clumsily pushed Hadley's Ricky Burrows after slipping the ball through Tyronne Holloway's legs.

Referee John Feenstra had no hesitation in pointing to the penalty spot and Bashir Alsawhali scored from the second rebound after two efforts had been saved by Windsor.

Five minutes later, Hadley had a golden chance to make it two when Matt Hudson saw his effort cleared off the line by Lee Gibbs.

Nirankari's Shaun Turner then had a one-on-one only for his low shot to be saved by the legs of the Hadley keeper.

Hadley put eight men behind the ball during the second half with chances few and far between.

Ben L'honore saw two efforts go close - a 25-yard strike hitting the underside of the bar and a half-volley being collected by the keeper.

It was no surprise when Nirankari levelled matters a quarter of an hour from time.

Rory Spencer made a fabulous run and put in an inch-perfect cross for Yearwood to make amends for the penalty and head home the equaliser at the far post.

The game was set up for a grandstand finish with both keepers making fine saves.

Hadley could have won it through Hudson in the dying seconds of normal time when he wasted a great chance by scuffing the ball wide of an empty net, after Tony Sabag's free-kick just outside the box came off the underside of the bar.

As the match edged towards extra time, Yearwood's fierce shot was parried by the Hadley keeper and Leeroy Williams was on hand to score the winner two minutes into added time.

n Richard Hall scored six as Probuild rattled in 13 goals in a match to see off a shocking Clannad Celtic at Morris Way and go joint top of the Premier table.

Gary Pomfret (hat-trick), Stephen Teale (two), Jamie Campney and Lee Gribben also got themselves on the scoresheet in a dominant display by the away side.

They were already 11 goals up when Clannad Celtic scored a couple of consolations.

In Division One North, Magnum's title hopes suffered a setback as rivals White Hart won 5-2.

Mark Holmes and an own goal saw White Hart go two ahead by the break.

Ross Braine hit a scorcher to make it three before Magnum reduced the deficit when Pete Morrison's 30-yard strike curled into the corner.

It came as little surprise when White Hart increased their lead following a fine solo run by Liam Errington.

Ten minutes later, Braine delivered a pinpoint cross to the far post for Richard MacGregor to score from six yards.

Magnum rallied briefly and were rewarded when Chris Powell's shot flew past the keeper into the bottom corner. They also missed a penalty late on.
