Richard's Trampoline Club bounced up to Ipswich for the Eastern Regional Grading competition.

Being a graded competition means if the qualification score or points are achieved, then this permits the trampolinist to progress on to the next level.

This was the first grading event using the new competition structure, and probably as a result the competition was much smaller than usually anticipated.

At the entry level of regional G, the club had two performers.

All people new to the competition structure must start at this level. The age groups only consist of three groups at this level now, so as anticipated this was an enormous group of more than 40 competitors.

Hannah Rayfield, who joined the club just a month ago, did some fantastic routines and she finished in an incredible second place.

Tate Henocq made an uncharacteristic fault during her first routine; she then went on to complete an excellent voluntary routine that would have left her in ninth place. But with her earlier mistake, it was not going to be.

At regional E, Paige Maranian made a superb return to competition after not competing at all this year due to a recurring injury. She showed tremendous improvement and easily gained a first place.

Scott Crowhurst is continuing to improve upon his form, and this showed when he finished in fifth place.

Levi Rimmer is also another to show great improvement and she finished in sixth place.

Laura Burns finished in seventh place - a great achievement for her. She has been trampolining for less than eight months, and in that time has moved up a couple of times in difficulty level.

At regional D, the highest level at this competition, Lisa Withey, Jo Collins, Lizzie Mercer and Daisy Longden gained team first. It was doubtful whether or not Lisa would compete as she has only recently come out of hospital. But her efforts paid off with by finishing in fourth place. Daisy did some fantastic routines to finish in sixth place, Jo in ninth and Lizzie in 11th place.
