The England Deaf Rugby squad are being managed again by Knebworth's Andy Stonehouse.
Stonehouse, a member of Hitchin Rugby Club, was delighted as his charges won 33-14 at Wellingborough on Sunday against Northants Police XV.
This was a much improved performance from last year when they lost to the same team 65-7.
They included six new faces including one who played for the Herts county under-20s and under-23s last year.
Since Stonehouse took over as the team manager last year, they have won four out of six matches.
He is now looking forward to being the team manager of the Deaf Barbarians Rugby team against Wales at Sardis Road, Pontypridd, on Sunday, November 23.
