North Herts strongman Allen Ottolangui secured a top 10 finish at the World Masters Powerlifting Championships in Palm Springs, California.
He achieved an eighth place in the 75kgs bodyweight category with a total of 605kgs.
Ottolangui said: "I was pleased with my performance and it is always good to be in the top 10 at a world championships.
"I would like to thank everybody who has supported me, especially the Letchworth Corner Sports Club where the weightlifting club is based.
