Hitchin Town are not taking this Saturday's FA Cup tie with Concord Rangers with anything other than caution.

The Canaries play host to the Ryman League Division One North side in the first qualifying round and after watching the Canvey Island-based team, are aware of the dangers ahead of them.

Assistant manager Mick Brooks said: "They're a hard working side and they have one or two players who can cause problems for us.

"They will be up for the game and we will have to ensure we are on our game to avoid a shock."

Manager Darran Hay is aware that in the FA Cup, clubs can be careless in the early rounds and come unstuck.

Hay said: "We know that if we lose our concentration we can go out cheaply, so it is vital we keep our discipline and show Concord the utmost respect."

Concord are an ambitious club and last season won the Essex Senior League. They won 3-1 against Waltham Forest on Saturday at home.
