FVS TRI's ironman Kevin Smart is going all European this month.

He completed the first leg of a double international age group representation with the ITU Age Group World Championship Long Distance Triathlon at Almere in The Netherlands.

A veteran of five ironman events and Great Britain age group representative level three times over the last three years, he is well prepared for two international long distance triathlons in successive weekends.

Competing in the 35-39 age group, Kevin completed the 4k swim, 120k bike and 30k run in 8-19:39 despite sea sickness caused by rough seas in the swim.

This weekend, Kevin will be joined by partner Suzy Hawkins and clubmate Kevin Ash to represent GB in the ETU European Distance Course Age Group Championships at Gerardmer, France.

David Hard and Kevin Ash rode the 57.9 mile Tour of the Cornfield Cyclo Sportive event in 4-26. Helen Shulver completed the event on a borrowed cyclo-cross bike.
