Stevenage Ladies First XI looked to continue to build on last week's result with a 2-1 win against Folkestone at home.

Stevenage started strong, winning an early short corner to dictate the pace of the match. A middle of the park ball was picked up by player of the match Claire Young and forwarded onto the end of Rachel Jeffreys stick and smashed into the back of the goal.

Stevenage continued winning short corners, pinging the ball between the attacking players before reaching the oncoming stick and strike from Holly Mould at the top of the D, leaving the half time score at 2-0 to Stevenage.

Folkestone took advantage of a quick short corner routine in the second half, foxing the defence and keeper to get a consolation goal. Folkestone increased pressure in the final 10 minutes, but good goalkeeping from George Turtle (Jenny Harding) kept Stevenage in the game and the final result remained 2-1.
