The Shuttleworth 10k and the Three Peaks Challenge were just two of the events which attracted North Herts Road Runners and Fairlands Valley Spartans.

Three Squirrels ran In Bedfordshire with Elwyn Howell fifth overall in a time of 46 minutes 27 seconds.

Andreea Weisl-Shaw ran her first official 10k and only a third race outside of parkruns, finishing as 22nd female in 1:03:24.

Richard Baker was the other from NHRR.

Spartans' Claire and Darren Emmerson completed the Three Peaks Challenge alongside others for Garden House Hospice.

Claire works for Garden House and they are the chosen charity this year for the Spartans.

It was a no brainer for her to do the challenge and along with Darren, she completed it in 24 hours and 48 minutes.

The weather on Ben Nevis left wet boots for the ascents of Scafell Pike, which was shrouded in mist, and Snowden, which provided and clear and breath-taking finish to the event.

Among the parkrun highlights for FVS was a second place for Jonathan Parr in Stevenage and a female win for Suzy Hawkins.

Grant Ramsay was third at Letchworth.
