Youths in court in Stevenage Primark robbery case

Two youths have been charged with the attempted robbery of a security guard in Stevenage town centre on Saturday.

Wonchana Kungram, 18, of Randalls Hill, Stevenage, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have both been charged with attempted robbery in The Quadrant at 1.25pm.

The female victim was returning to her van with takings from Primark when the incident occurred.

Two youths were later detained by a PCSO.

The pair appeared before St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Monday where the case was sent to Cambridge Crown Court to be heard on April 18.
