A girls’ football team is seeking cash to fund floodlights which will allow them to train in the evenings.

Stevenage Borough Girls team has applied for a grant from the One Family Foundation to ensure their players can access the facilities at Giles Junior School all year round, but they need the backing of the local community to make it happen.

Supporters are urged to vote on the One Family Foundation website at www.onefamily.com/your-foundation/community-awards/

Just register to vote, and then select the Floodlights for Giles School project in the Sports and Social category. Every vote counts towards their goal, and the closing date is today, November 30.
