It’s official! Candidates vying for the Hitchin and Harpenden seat in June’s General Election will face the public at a hustings.

Now’s you chance to grill Conservative candidate Bim Afolami on his knowledge of Hitchin, Labour’s John Hayes on what he really thinks of Jeremy Corbyn, the Lib Dems’ Hugh Annand on what exactly the party stands for, and the Greens’ Richard Cano on what ‘stepping out of the box’ actually means – along with a whole host of other matters both local and national.

The move comes after hard work by Churches Together in arranging the event which will see the prospective parliamentary candidates set out their policies and values in answering questions from the floor.

The event will take place on Friday, June 2 from 7.30pm at the Hitchin Christian Centre on Bedford Road – and everyone is invited to attend.

If you would like to ask a question you are requested to email John Richardson, CTH secretary by May 29 to johnrichardson891@btinternet.com.

Alternatively you can post it to 97 Grove Road, Hitchin SG5 1SQ, or text it to 07505 426876.

Please indicate if you will be present at the meeting to ask your question. All are welcome at what in the past has been a well-attended and much-appreciated meeting.
