Young voices enthrall proud parents in St Mary’s as part of Hitchin Festival

St Mary’s Church hosted the Hitchin Schools in Concert on Monday evening which saw choirs enthrall proud parents as part of the Hitchin Festival.

Schools included were Our Lady Catholic Primary School from Old Hale Way, St Andrews Church of England Primary School based at Benslow Lane, along with Whitehill Junior School on Whitehill Road and Wilshere-Dacre Junior Academy on Fishponds Road.

Rev Michael Roden said: “People have been singing here for 1200 years – and when voices come together something special happens.”

Whitehill school head Steve Mills added: “It was a lovely concert – well done to all the schools who took part.”
