A young boy is heartbroken after losing his toy lion while out watching the Letchworth Christmas lights switch-on tonight – and his mum has put out an appeal to try to track it down.
There is no photograph of the lion, unfortunately, but it is described by mum Kerry Banks as a ‘small worn stuffed toy lion, missing its white information label’.
Kerry told the Comet it was lost near WH Smith in Leys Avenue, at about 6pm this evening – just after the lights were switched on by Anna and Olaf from Frozen with Father Christmas, Mickey and Minnie Mouse and various others looking on.
“If you picked up the lion please contact the Comet for my details,” said Kerry. “You would make my son’s Christmas.”
