FOR those who are not lovers of the Beautiful Game, one pub is offering sanctuary in the form of a Football Free Zone for the whole tournament.
The Millstream, on Cambridge Road, Hitchin, will not be showing any of the games and will offer deals to entice non-football fans instead.
Manager Colin Taylor said: "We don't have any tellies and I don't want to have any tellies for the World Cup. It's a long tournament and I wanted to give women who are sick of their husbands shouting and screaming an option to do something else during the tournament.
"Men are still invited. If it goes well we'll do the same for the next big tournament.
