The East of England Ambulance Service was alerted to Willian Road, Letchworth GC shortly after 8am. Two ambulances from Letchworth attended the scene.

Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson who attended the incident said: "Four vehicles had collided on the country lane behind the golf course, one of which overturned. Luckily a woman, believed to be in her 20s, received minor injuries. Paramedics treated her at the scene before she was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage."

The second emergency call came in at 8.50am to a report of a car and a motorbike in collision also on the Willian Road heading towards Wymondley and the car went into a ditch. Letchworth paramedics attended the scene.

Mr Sanderson added: "This collision was about a mile from the first one we were dealing with earlier on. A man on his motorbike escaped with no injuries and a woman driving a 4x4 which ended up in a ditch next to the road, was also uninjured.
