A woman was knocked to the ground and her handbag snatched in an alleyway on Tuesday morning.
The woman, aged 27, was walking along Churchill Way, Sandy, when she was attacked.
Police say the woman put up a struggle, refusing to let go of her handbag and was knocked over by her attacker.
The attacker was white, 5ft 10ins tall, in his mid-20s and wearing a black woolly hat and light blue shirt.
The woman suffered bruising and was badly shaken. Anyone who was in the area at around 6.30am should contact Pc Seb Greschner on 01234 841212.
