A WOMAN was indecently assaulted near Letchworth train station at the weekend, after being followed by a man.
The incident happened between 12.15am and 12.45am on Sunday morning, when the 22-year-old woman was walking along Station Road from the station.
She became aware of a man following her, who approached her from behind before indecently assaulting her.
He then fled by foot towards the town centre.
Police are trying to track the man down, who is described as white with dark hair. Reports say he was wearing a dark jacket with a hood.
“This was a frightening incident for the victim and we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time the offence as they might have valuable information that could assist with the investigation,” said PC Stewart Robertson.
