A woman in her 70s has been taken to hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest in Stevenage today.

Officers were called at around 10.45am to reports of a car crash in Lytton Way near to the police station.

An air ambulance landed and the road had been closed outside the police station while she was being treated by paramedics.

The road was reopened shortly before midday after she was taken by land ambulance to hospital.
