Police have released CCTV images after a woman in her 70s was assaulted on a bus.
The elderly woman was left with cuts and bruises following the incident on the 97 Arriva service from Hitchin to Stotfold at around 3.40pm on July 20.
The victim, who needed the help of a walking frame, was sat at the front of the bus when the offender – a woman with a pram – boarded the service and told her to move.
After the victim explaining that she was unable to, the woman repeatedly rammed the pram into her legs and grabbed her arm when she tried to move it before alighting the bus at Hitchin railway station.
The appeal has only just been made after a delay in receiving the CCTV footage.
PC David Munns, investigating, said: “This was a nasty assault on a vulnerable lady who has been left with cuts and bruises following the incident.
“I would be very keen to identify and speak to the person pictured as I believe she may have vital information that could assist with my investigation.”
