For Boro striker Calum Willock is on trial with League One side Wycombe Wanderers.

The former Peterborough striker could link up with former Boro boss Peter Taylor after playing the first half in Wanderers' 1-0 win against AFC Wimbledon in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

Taylor is expected to make a decision over Willock's future in the next couple of days although Wycombe are also looking at bringing in one-time 7m star Carl Cort following his release from Norwich City.

Boro boss Graham Westley decided Willock was surplus to requirements at The Lamex Stadium at the end of last season after strengthening his attacking options in the forms of Charlie Griffin, Yemi Odubade and Chris Beardsley.
