A WOMAN from Arlesey pleaded not guilty on Thursday to the murder of her 30-year-old husband, who was stabbed to death over the Christmas holiday last year.
Anna Janczuk, also 30, is accused of killing her husband Steven at their flat in The Rally in the village between December 29 and 31.
When the charge was put to Janczuk at St Albans Crown Court she answered: "Not guilty, your honour."
A post mortem revealed her husband died from a single stab wound to the chest.
Judge Michael Baker QC ruled that the case was suitable for a fixed hearing date. It will not be heard before the first week in August.
The case will next be in court on May 25 when a judge will give further directions for the trial.
