At All Saints Church, St Paul's Walden on Sunday celebrating Mothering Sunday in the time honoured way with the children giving posies to their own mothers and all the ladies present. They sang with great enthusiasm and had the congregation on its feet to do the actions where appropriate. After the service, those who stayed for refreshments were treated to a simnel cake as has been the tradition at the church for as long as I can remember and is usually made by Pam Barber.
