Boro beat Southend United reserves 2-0
Chris Whelpdale continued his comeback from injury with 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly today.
The winger, who came off the bench in the 2-0 win over Hartlepool United on Saturday, joined fellow first team player Jerome Okimo in a side that beat Southend United reserves 2-0.
Jack Storer opened the scoring for Stevenage, before a trialist curled in goal number two.
Boro return to league action on Saturday with a trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.
