A grant of �1,500 is music to the ears of members of Weston Youth Club.

The money, from Herts county councillor Tony Hunter's budget, will go towards new disco equipment for the club.

Weston Youth Club provides a meeting place for youngsters aged seven and over in the village and the surrounding community. It is hoped the club will benefit from the new equipment firstly in the club and in the future possibly offer a mobile disco. "We're hoping the new disco lights, speakers and CD player will be in place early in the New Year," said club spokesman Kevin Yates.

Cllr Hunter said: "I look forward to seeing how the group is getting on over the next few months.
