Winger Luke Freeman is likely to be sold by Stevenge this summer, according to boss Graham Westley.
The 22-year-old former Arsenal player has had a starring role for Boro this season, despite their relegation from Sky Bet League 1.
This morning Westley said: “In his [Freeman’s] case I suspect he won’t be [at Stevenage next season], I suspect the football club will cash in and I’m sure there’ll be a bidding war.
“I know there were clubs in for him in January putting bids on the table, I’m sure this summer that’ll reach a head.
“I can’t imagine that somebody isn’t going to look back at some of what he’s done this year and think he’s worth a punt at a higher level.
“A high enough level for the amount of money involved to make Stevenage to turn its head so I expect Luke not to be here.
“I’d be very surprised if he is here, but it’s in Stevenage’s hands [as he’s under contract].”
Freeman signed for Stevenage in January 2012 following a loan spell from the Gunners.
