Westley due for Preston talks today

Boro boss to meet Peter Risdale to discuss manager position

Preston North End are due to speak to Graham Westley today about their vacant managerial position.

If the discussions prove to be positive, the two clubs will then discuss a compensation package which could clear the way for Westley to be appointed as Phil Brown’s successor.

Ridsdale told the Lancashire Evening Post: “We’ve moved on to the next stage of the process. How long things will take from here, I can’t predict.

“We still haven’t talked about the compensation issue yet. That would only take place if everything is alright with Graham.”
