Graham Westley has rubbished rumours linking Luke Freeman with Bristol City.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the League One side were lining up a £300,000 bid for Boro’s 21-year-old midfielder.
However, speaking at a press conference today (Thursday), the manager said: “With respect, if he left Stevenage I very much doubt he would go to another League One club.
“There would be plenty of Premier League clubs queuing up to buy Luke Freeman before he decided he wanted to go to another League One club.
He added: “I haven’t heard any rumours but I would dismissed them outright because I know the lad, I know his ambition and he certainly isn’t lining up to join another League One club.”
