John Stoddard, one of LGC's finest, spoke to me, following an article in my column about the recent local St George's Day Parade. John tells me that he made a film in 1990 - Life in the Garden City. In that film he covered the scouts and guides marching down Leys Avenue and he did some close-ups of youngsters of about 12-years-old, who are now in their mid to late 20's. Would they like to take a look into the past? Copies may be still available in the town's library, but John has a few copies left if anyone would like to buy one - all proceeds going to the Garden House Hospice. Email John on admin@stoddard.co.uk if you are interested.
